CLUB CHALLENGED BY GROWTH

The Latrobe Football Club is progressing from strength to strength with welcomed extraordinary growth but sometimes that can create issues.

Registering over 200 players across all grades, males and females, this year, males and females, the club has been faced with the challenge of sufficient grounds for weekly training and skills development.

“The Latrobe Recreation Ground is a prime ground for NWFL games and we don’t want to jeopardise that surface with heavy training.

The club has therefore called on our networks throughout the community and currently utilise the softball ground within the Latrobe Recreation Ground, Latrobe High School, Perkins Park and even Piper’s Park at Wesley Vale to accommodation team training sessions.

Being very family focussed, many of our up and coming players are generational,” said Mr Rodney Brett, President of the Latrobe Football Club.

The club hosts Friday evening meals with its annual Blue and Red Ball scheduled for 17 June, enquiries to Kandice (0408236603).
